Welcome back, Bears! 🐻 We hope the break provided your family with time to rest, recharge, and enjoy moments that mattered—whatever that looked like for you. As a proudly diverse community, we recognize that families observe many different traditions (and some simply enjoyed a good old-fashioned break from alarm clocks), and we are happy to be back together again.
As we return after an extended break, it’s always a great idea to review our school expectations with students. Much like reusable water bottles, expectations sometimes need a quick rinse and refill. 😉 Birchmount School is a proud New Brunswick Positive Behaviour Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school. Our Bear Necessities clearly outline our student expectations and help guide positive behaviour across our school community. These expectations can be found in our Family Handbook and are a great resource for families to review together as we settle back into our routines.
We invite families to review our Birchmount School Family Handbook, which can be found on our school website or directly at the link below:

🚗 Morning Drop-Off Safety Reminders
A few important reminders to help our mornings run safely and smoothly:
- Supervision begins at 8:10 AM. Students should not arrive before this time.
- In the Kiss and Drop lane, please:
- Pull right up to the supervising teachers
- Have your child ready to hop out
- Be patient with other drivers
- Do not pass other vehicles in the lane
- If you need a little extra time to get your Bear out of the vehicle, please feel free to use the parking lot. The Kiss and Drop is designed for those quick goodbyes and speedy send-offs.
Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe—your cooperation truly makes a difference.
