It’s finally February! The days are beginning to stretch a little longer, and with any luck, we’ll start to feel some warmer weather before too long. (We can all agree winter has had plenty of time to shine!)

February is also Black History Month, an important time to recognize and celebrate the contributions, history, and culture of Black Canadians. Throughout the month, students will be engaging in learning activities that highlight Black excellence, stories, and voices, both past and present.

We would also like to remind Grade 7 families that students who have provided consent will be participating in their upcoming vaccination clinic on Tuesday, February 3 in the morning. Vaccines provided include Tetanus, Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, and HPV9.

If your child will be receiving vaccines, please ensure they:

  • Have a good breakfast that morning
  • Wear a short-sleeved shirt for easier access

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership.
