As we prepare for the 2024-2025 school year, we are implementing new safe drop-off and end-of-day procedures to address the increased traffic and safety concerns around our school. Please read the following guidelines carefully to ensure a smooth and secure experience for all students and families.

Shared Bus Loading Zone and Kiss and Drop Area

Starting this school year, the bus loading zone and the kiss and drop will now share the same space:

  • Buses: Will use the inside lane closest to the soccer field.
  • Kiss and Drop: Will use the outside lane closest to the staff parking lot.

Kiss and Drop Guidelines

To ensure a safe and efficient drop-off:

  • Please have your child seated on the passenger side of the backseat.
  • Proceed to the designated volunteer, who will open the passenger door to allow your child to exit the vehicle.
  • The volunteer will then direct your child to the crosswalk to safely cross the bus loading zone and enter the school.
  • Important: Ensure that your child is ready to exit the vehicle, with their backpack in hand, when the volunteer opens the door.

End-of-Day Pick-Up Procedures

Due to the no-passing rule in the kiss and drop lane, we encourage parents to consider the following alternatives for picking up their children:

  • Alternate Pick-Up Locations: Utilize nearby streets or designated areas to meet your child.
  • Parking Options: You may park your vehicle in the school parking lot or along Ayer Ave in front of the parking lot.

We appreciate your cooperation in following these new procedures, which are designed to prioritize the safety and well-being of all our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.
