We are excited to celebrate the end of the Birchmount journey and to wish our grade 8 students well as they transition to the world of high school.

Our Celebration Ceremony is Thursday, June 20 from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM.  Grade 8 students must arrive at the school between 5:30 and 5:45 to be ready to begin the ceremony at 6:00. Upon arrival, students should go directly to Mr. Lean’s classroom.  Parents, families, and guests should line up outside the Safe Drop Off door until the doors open just before 6:00 PM. 

Immediately after the ceremony, we will ask all students and families to proceed outside while our amazing Home and School and volunteers prepares the gym for the dance.  This is a great opportunity to capture your photo memories.  Once the gym is ready, families are permitted to take a few short minutes to take photos inside but are asked to leave as quickly as possible to allow our students to celebrate with friends. 

To celebrate this special milestone, we encourage all students to dress in their best attire. This event is not a formal event, but it’s a wonderful opportunity for everyone to look and feel their best. Remember, this night is all about celebrating their achievements and enjoying time with friends. Students should choose something that makes them feel confident and happy without the pressure to purchase anything new for this event.
