You may have heard the Minister of Education, Bill Hogan, discussing the success of the 10 New Brunswick schools piloting PBIS intatives on the news. 

Did you know that Birchmount School is one those schools?  

Positive Behaviour Interventions & Supports (PBIS) is a proactive, evidence-based framework for establishing a positive, safe and inclusive whole-school culture.  

This year, Birchmount School has been working hard on creating clear, school-wide behavioural expecations, effective data collection, and a system for recognizing our Birchmount Bears who consitently meet or exceed our expecations. Please ask your child about our Bear Necessitiesand our monthly Bear of the Month assemblies.  

We are very proud of all the hardwork the Birchmount Community has put in to making this a successful and positive intiative at our school.  Thank you for your ongoing support at home with helping us teach and reinforce a positive and safe school environment for our students and staff.
