Parents on the Playground

Just another reminder that parents are not permitted on the playground with the exception of the K-2 end of day dismissal time.  We ask that when you pick up your child that you leave the playground as         quickly as possible.  We also cannot permit family dogs on the playground during pick up and drop off times.

Halloween

Students are welcome to wear costumes on Tuesday, October 31.  Costumes must not interfere with learning or the safety of the school.  This means no masks, face paint or handheld props. If you do not recognize Halloween in your home or do not want your child wearing their costume to school, students are welcome to wear their PJ’s on that day.  Please check for any communication from your child’s homeroom teacher for any class specific activities.

Picture Retakes

Harvey Studios will be back to the school on Wednesday, November 1 for school picture retakes for any student who missed the first picture day or who were not happy with their original photo.

Grade 7 Vaccination Clinic

The vaccination clinic for grade 7 students is Thursday, November 2.  Students who are receiving the vaccine are reminded to get a good night sleep, have a healthy breakfast, and wear a short sleeve shirt.  If you have not yet completed the consent form online or sent in the paper copy, please do so immediately.   The form is required even if you are NOT consenting.  Please contact Mr. Carson if you have any questions, timothy.carson@nbed.nb.ca .

Home and School Holiday Craft Mart

The Home and School is holding their very first Holiday Craft Mart Saturday, November 4, from 10:00 AM – 2:00PM, at Birchmount School.  Come kick off the holiday season and get a head start on your shopping. Admission is $2 per person, and children under 12 are free.

No School Friday, November 3

There are no classes for students on Friday, November 3 as staff will be participating in professional learning.
